About the Owner

Hi and welcome! My name is Sarah, and I am the owner of Colanthia. Colanthia is a home and living boutique that offers refurbishing, styling, and sourcing of vintage and antique furniture/home goods to New Kent County and the surrounding areas.

Growing up, I was always creative. From dancing, to modeling, to design. Yes, I was that little girl who asked to go to Pier One and pick out room decor with her allowance money. I can still remember rearranging and redecorating my room at least twice a year.

Now in my thirties, I am an elementary school teacher by day, but an artist by night (and weekends). When I purchased my first home in 2021, I thoroughly enjoyed transforming my bungalow into a little home through thoughtful design and decor. My husband and I recently moved to New Kent County in the summer of 2024, and am enjoying this same design journey, but all over again with my best friend.

My style of design is a blend of eclectic interiors that weave together stories. I loved mixing together vintage and contemporary. I believe it creates a space that feels both nostalgic and fresh. I’m passionate about incorporating bold pops of color, as it brings an element of magic and depth to any room. My goal is to help you craft a space that feels timeless, welcoming, and is uniquely your own — I want you to feel a personal connection and sense of comfort with the end result.
